I look very cool now as opposed to the old man look I had before. The whole process didn't take much effort since I didn't care for the fine tuning. Either way my picture looks much better now than before. Everything you see is dark, metallic and combat is everywhere. These are just a few of the things that guys are drawn to. The possessing the skills to build a ship or customize one is similar to a guy's fascination with their motorcycles or fixing up classic cars. In addition, everything built is focused toward winning battles. Guns, ammo and exotic dancers.<br /><br />So what's there in EVE now, that attracts women to the game? Very little.<br /><br />Here's my solution. Bring in the cute and pretty and collectible. <br /><br />My first thought is, <span style="font-style: italic;">can this be done without killing EVE</span>? I mean I play because I enjoy the combat and ship warfare. How can we bring in female players without changing the fundamentals of EVE? That's tough. The combat will always be there and the ships will be too however if we add features that distract from this game's fundamentals, then can it survive. I have an answer.<br /><br />Yes, EVE can survive. Here's what I'm thinking...<br /><br />+ Allow ships to be painted different color themes. This will allow pilots to express themselves through their ships. Custom (approved) decal's would also be a nice addition that wouldn't change the mechanics of combat.<br /><br />+ Emotes, would it hurt to make chatting a little more playful? <br /><br />+ "cute loot", I'm talking about shoes and teddy bears. Stuff that a girl would like to collect. Same goes for the Market. Make items a women would like to buy such as dresses, shoes whatever.<br /><br />+ Pets? Feed it, love it, just keep it alive and happy. Tamagachi? Look at the amount of toys women grow up with where they need to take care of a pony or doll. Pets are where its at!<br /><br />+ Change the effects a particular module produces. A pilot can tweak the"effects" stats to produce a glittery (just one example) effect. Does not make the item better or worse. It only affects the aesthetics of a module on a ship.<br /><br />+ Decorate the inside of your ship. Hang up a picture or put up curtains. Make your ship more personal.<br /><br />+ Social skills that affect agents that only females receive. Sure why not pay a pretty, flirty female a little more. Shoot, the guys probably make more pirating and doing other things anyway.<br /><br />Ultimately females like to express themselves and I feel the ideas I provided above would allow someone to do so. The pet system would allow women to do something other than combat or sitting in station. I'd like to see more females and increase the game's popularity. New Eden is a dark lonely place.
